Road Trip Day One

My son's father picked him up at 8:00 this morning, and I set out on the road with my daughter and her friend.  I dropped the girls off at my moms and headed for Little Rock, AR.  I met a new friend (thanks Skout) at a cool little venue and watched Relient K perform.  I haven't really listened to their stuff much in years, so I wasn't nearly as impressed as I thought I would be.  All in all it was a good night though.  I didn't arrive until 8:30pm, so it was a short evening.  Good times with a new friend.  This journey is about trusting myself in some ways.  And new experiences.  I'm stepping out of my comfort zone.  Tomorrow I'll head out to stay with an old college friend and her family.  The rest of my vaca is semi-planned, but nothing set in stone.  For an entire week no one is going to call me mom.....now that's freedom; and I'm just soaking it up...
